Villa rental Costa Brava
The Costa Brava, a 160-kilometre stretch of beautiful coastline in the northeast corner of Spain, running from Blanes, north of Barcelona, to Roses near the French border, has miles of sandy beaches and loads of summer sunshine. The attractions include a huge variety of resorts, charming towns with ancient castles, pretty fishing villages, and sheltered rocky coves. Known as the Wild Coast, due to the variety of winds that shape the land, the region has some of the best villa rental Costa Brava has on offer.
The regional capital of Barcelona, with its Gaudi architecture, Pablo Picasso museum, and cosmopolitan lifestyle, is a magnet for travellers, while the Salvador Dali museum at Figueres and the Benedictine Monastery at Montserrat are prime drawcards. Just outside Lloret de Mar, near Blanes, is Marineland, popular with families for its dolphin and sea lion shows, enormous water slides, and its children's zoo.

The old fishing port of Roses, 30 kilometres from the French border, retains much of its original charm, while Cadaques, just north of the town, has some beautiful unspoilt coastline. Estartit, south of Roses has an excellent yacht marina which overlooks the important Medes Islands nature and marine reserves. Perhaps the most attractive of all Costa Brava resorts is Tossa de Mar, famed as the location for the movie The Flying Dutchman starring Ava Gardner and Frank Sinatra. Some of Spain's finest Costa Brava holiday villa rentals are on this part of the coastline, with its stunning beaches and small coves as well as the resort's historic old quarter, the Villa Vella.
