Italian villas for rent are an excellent holiday idea

The best way to enjoy a holiday in Italy is to rent an Italian villa in one of the many Italian regions and cities. There are a host of unforgettable Italian cities, rich in history and culture and fabulous towns and villages where time has stood still and where alfresco dining with a bottle of the local vintage can make your holiday dreams come true.

In Umbria, fields of sunflowers and olive trees cover entire hillsides and Perugia, the region's capital, has enchanting architecture. Tuscany is renown for its stunning landscapes, with rolling hills, pretty villages, vineyards and, of course, Florence, mediaeval Siena and Lucca and dramatic hill towns such as Cetona. Located in the Marches region, the Renaissance town of Urbino is a delight, while the surrounding countryside exudes rural charm and many Italian villas for rent.

Lazio is home to Italy's capital Rome, with many Italian villas for rent, a bustling cosmopolitan life and remnants of ancient civilizations. But be sure to visit the hilltop villages and the splendid beauty of Lake Bracciano. The Campania region includes the famed Amalfi/Sorrento coast, the island of Capri, the excavations of Pompeii, and Naples, the region's capital.
